An adult version can be made using caramel flavored liquor such as Bailey’s Caramel. Ingredients: ½ to 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, depending on taste 6-8 tbsp. freshly ground coffee beans ½ cup caramel flavored syrup ½ cup Cream or half and half per serving Crushed ice Caramel for drizzling Bailey’s Caramel Liquor if desired Brew a pot of fresh coffee using the coffee grounds. Add the cinnamon to the coffee grounds to make a pot of cinnamon flavored coffee. Add the caramel flavored syrup to the pot of coffee and allow to cool. Drizzle caramel around the edges of tall coffee mugs or milkshake glasses. In a blender add crushed ice, one to one and one-half cups of the cooled coffee mixture and ½ cup cream or half and half. Blend until creamy. Pour into the caramel drizzled glasses. Serve with whipped cream if desired. If Bailey’s is desired add it during the blending phase. Blueberry Vanilla Iced Coffee This iced coffee drink is perfect for lazy summer days sitting on the porch. Blueberry syrup can be found in gourmet grocery shops, on the Internet or made from fresh blueberries and sugar. Ingredients 6-8 tbsp. French vanilla ground coffee ½ cup milk or cream sugar to taste 2-3 tbsp. Blueberry Syrup Whipped cream if desired Fresh blueberries for topping Ice Cubes Brew a pot of French vanilla coffee using freshly ground French vanilla coffee beans or a pre-ground French vanilla coffee. Allow the coffee to cool. Place ice cubes in a drink shaker or other tall container with a lid. Add the milk and blueberry syrup. Shake until well mixed then pour into tall glasses with whipped cream topping and a fresh blueberry for garnish. Sugar can be added if desired. Iced coffee drinks are the ideal way for coffee lovers to enjoy their coffee in the summertime without having a hot beverage. When brewing coffee for iced coffee drinks it is best to double the strength of the brewed coffee so that when the ice is added to the drink the coffee doesn’t weaken.
